In the context of Eno - we say he's Play Hatin' because he's belittling accomplishments of others.
Playa Hatin' is more or less jealously. Jealous of success, fame, material possessions, women etc.
It all stems from the westcoast Ghetto Fabulous rap scene. All the glamour the glitz, the "ice", the flashy cars, half-clad women. Don't hate on 'em they're just playa's!
